Description

High-Performance Genuine Mercedes / Bosch / Premium Fuel Pump for 2002–2006 T1N Sprinter Vans

Bosch / Premium Fuel Pump Module Assembly with Heater Booster will help fix P0087 Code.

Upgrade your Sprinter’s fuel system with Bosch’s advanced fuel pump module, built for power, durability, and precision. Engineered specifically for T1N Sprinter vans (2002–2006), this module ensures consistent performance even under extreme driving conditions.

Proven Performance and Reliability

Bosch tests every T1N Sprinter fuel pump in-house to guarantee peak performance and long-term reliability. With electromagnetic shielding, the pump avoids interference with your van’s electronics—keeping your dashboard clean of errors and your systems running smoothly.

Superior Bosch Engineering

This isn’t just another OEM part. Bosch’s “Better than OE” design enhances installation ease, vehicle drivability, and component longevity. Their turbine pump technology minimizes fuel pulsation and noise, while solving hot-start issues that often plague older Sprinters.

Built for Real-World Conditions

Whether you’re dealing with extreme heat or running on low fuel, this Bosch pump keeps delivering. It’s designed to operate under stress—maintaining performance when it matters most.

Troubleshooting Fuel Issues? Here’s What This Pump Solves

If your Sprinter presents intermittent engine problems or throws codes like P0087 or P268, the fuel pump may be the culprit. Here’s a typical scenario:

  • Engine shows multiple DTCs and suffers from inconsistent performance.

  • After replacing the fuel rail and adaptive learning, issues persist.

  • Jumping the low-pressure pump maxes at 55 PSI—below required levels.

  • Even with a clean tank and OE fuel filter replacement, limp mode activates.

Replacing the module with this Bosch pump often resolves these failures, restoring normal drive function and eliminating false codes.

Installing an Auxiliary Fuel Port – OM612 Sprinter (T1N 2001–2003)

OM612.981 OM612 Pump Also called the “Low Pressure Fuel Pump” or “Low Pressure Feed Pump,” this component sits next to the vacuum pump and above the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Its main job is to draw fuel from the tank, pulling it through the fuel filter and feeding it to the high-pressure system.

The 2001-2006 Sprinter Van electric fuel pump on your vehicle pumps fuel from the fuel

tank to the engine and builds fuel pressure for your vehicle’s fuel injection system.

The electric fuel pump can be located inline between the fuel tank and the engine or inside the fuel tank and may be fitted with a fuel filter and fuel level sensor for the fuel gauge.

Electric fuel pumps can fail in several ways. Furthermore, other failed components of your vehicle’s fuel delivery system can mimic a failed fuel pump. Weak fuel pressure causing your engine to run lean can be due to a fuel pump not pumping adequate volume, a clogged fuel filter, or a leaking fuel pressure regulator. Additionally, a fuel pump not pumping any fuel and preventing the engine from running could be a completely failed fuel pump or a fuel pump relay not supplying power to the fuel pump to operate. Always checking power to the electric fuel pump and fuel pressure at the pump will help to prevent a misdiagnosis of a problematic fuel pump.

Signs of a Failing Electric Fuel Pump

  • 2001-2006 Sprinter Van not starting
  • 2001-2006 Sprinter Van Idling rough
  • Stalling
  • Engine surging
  • Severe lack of power

Additionally, a strong fuel smell inside your vehicle may be a sign an in-tank electric fuel pump has a cracked housing and is leaking fuel vapor into your vehicle.

Replacing Your Vehicle’s Electric Fuel Pump
Your electric fuel pump should only be replaced if failed or damaged. For electric fuel pumps located in the fuel tank with the fuel level sensor, the fuel pump would be replaced as part of the fuel pump and level sensor assembly if the fuel tank level sensor needs to be replaced.

Replacement of the fuel pump can take anywhere from one hour to several hours to replace depending on location. Electric fuel pumps located in the fuel line are often heavily covered to prevent damage from road debris and some fuel pumps located in the fuel tank will require the removal of the fuel tank to remove and replace. To prevent premature failure of a newly installed fuel pump, it is highly recommended to replace the fuel filter or fuel pickup screen to prevent contaminants from entering the fuel system and damaging the fuel pump.
